Gemini has in place a range of policy documents that outline the rules, guidelines and regulations that all of our employees and the company follow; these are detailed below.

QUALITY POLICY

Gemini Print are certified to ISO 9001 and consistently strive to provide the very best quality to ensure clients are satisfied with the products and services we deliver. The management systems and processes meet the requirements of ISO 9001, by;
  • Ensuring that all staff are aware of Gemini Print Policies and responsibilities, and are trained and competent.
  • Maintaining plant, facilities and processes to provide optimum reliability to manufacture consistent products and achieve specifications.
  • Delivering goods on time, as per agreed client requirements.
  • Promptly rectifying any complaints or negative feedback, ensuring quality control processes including learning & development to improve processes or coaching as relevant are all implemented.
  • Meeting relevant legislated requirements.
Gemini Print monitor, progress and communicate business objectives regularly, that are revised in line with our current published policies, supporting the work to minimise risk and identify opportunities to continuously improve both our processes and products, for the benefit of our clients.

MODERN SLAVERY

Although Gemini Print is precluded from performing Social Accountability audits on our supply chain, we can confirm that it does not, and will not, manufacture or utilise sub-contract manufacturing within any of the ‘Highest Risk’ countries as issued by SAAS (Social Accountability Accreditation Services).

ANTI BRIBERY POLICY

One of the Gemini Print core values is to uphold sound, responsible and fair business operations. It is committed to promoting and maintaining the highest possible ethical standards in relation to all of its business activities.

The Company’s reputation for maintaining lawful business practices is of paramount importance to it and this policy is designed to preserve these values. The Company therefore has a zero tolerance policy towards bribery and corruption and is committed to acting fairly and with integrity in all of its business dealings and relationships wherever it operates and implementing and enforcing effective systems to counter bribery.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Gemini Print fully accept our individual and collective responsibilities to protect the environment and ecology.

We comply with relevant environmental legislation relating to our printing activities, based in the south and the west of England. We design the print, print utilising sheet-fed litho and digital technologies onto various substrates including paper, card and other materials including for promotional merchandise and gifts, then finishing, packing and delivering the product.

We aim to exceed requirements relating to our environmental aspects, setting an example to others of environmental management using the best available techniques with due regard to performance, timeliness and cost. This includes a rigorous chain of custody system enabling the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) logo to be printed on product at customers request.

We employ controls and procedures to limit or reduce pollution, noise and other nuisance, to help reduce consumption of natural resources and energy and to continually improve on current and newly identified environmental aspects. Our policy is to use only vegetable based inks.

We pursue good relations with regulatory bodies, also promoting an appreciation of our environmental Policy and performance among our customers, our employees and other interested parties.

We work with consideration to environmental aspects ensuring the most effective use of resources. We follow the principles of the Waste Hierarchy and aim to work with suppliers who themselves have a sound Environmental Management System.

On an annual basis we will review, monitor and analyse our Environmental objectives and targets.

Our employees are educated and aware of the need to protect our environment and are committed to this policy and programme, which is published and periodically reviewed for continuing suitability.

Vehicle Fuel Policy

Gemini operate its own, brand new, fully tracked, low emission fleet of Euro 6 vehicles, which are proven to reduce our carbon foot print. Through part of its investigation process, Gemini established that branded fuels (Esso, Shell & BP) are more efficient and provide greater MPG and as such a decision was made to only use these branded fuels on all vehicles.

Equal Opportunities Policy

HEALTH & SAFETY

The company believes that excellence in the management of health and safety is an essential element within its overall business plan – a good health and safety record goes hand in hand with high productivity and quality standards. People are the most important asset to this company, and therefore we are totally committed to ensuring their health, safety and welfare at all times. From an economic point of view, the company believes that prevention is not only better, but cheaper than cure. There is no necessary conflict between humanitarian and commercial consideration. Profits and safety are not in competition. On the contrary, safety is good business. The company is committed to ensuring that it complies with all relevant health and safety legislation. Where it is reasonably practicable to do so, the company will strive to go beyond the requirements of legislation. The company is committed to ongoing monitoring and review processes, so that continual improvement in the management of health and safety can be achieved.
  • To provide adequate control of the Health & Safety risks arising from our work activities;
  • To provide adequate resources for the purpose of Health & Safety;
  • To consult with our employees on matters affecting their Health & Safety;

FIRE POLICY

Gemini Print will undertake to do all that is reasonable to prevent fires in any of the organisations premises and will comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. In addition, fire precautions will be in place to minimise the effect of a fire should one break out. In the event of a fire occurring, the first priority must be to save lives. Saving of buildings and equipment is a secondary consideration. However, damage caused by fire can seriously disrupt the business and every reasonable effort will be made to prevent such damage occurring. Click here for the full Fire Policy

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CSR

Gemini Print is a multi-site printing company (lithographic, digital, large format, finishing) that also provides clients with a wide range of other services such as design, artwork, promotional merchandise, direct mail, online integration, managed print, and document solutions.

The prosperity of our business and of the communities within which we operate requires a commitment to the sustainable management of our activities.

Therefore, Gemini Print confirms its commitment to carrying out its business in a sociably responsible manner upholding the following key principles:

  • To operate ethically and with integrity;

ETHICS POLICY

Gemini Print is committed to the practice of responsible corporate behaviour.

Through its business practices the Company seeks to protect and promote the human rights and basic freedoms of all its employees and agents. Further the Company is committed to protecting the rights of all of those whose work contributes to the success of the Company, including those employees and agents of suppliers to the Company.

The Company is also committed to eliminating bribery and corruption. It is essential that all employees and persons associated with the Company adhere to this policy and abstain from giving or receiving bribes of any form.

This policy is non-exhaustive, and all aspects of the Company’s business should be considered in the spirit of this Policy.

GDPR POLICY

In line with procedures introduced March 2021 Gemini Print Group GDPR Policy sets out the obligations of the company regarding data protection and the rights of customers, suppliers, business contacts and employees (data subjects) in respect of their personal data under EU Regulation 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

When Gemini Print is acting as DATA CONTROLLER, any supplier will be asked to complete a DATA PROCESSING AGREEMENT.  The template indicates in yellow highlight all the information that should be completed.  The Schedule highlighted in green will require the detail of the role of any DATA PROCESSOR is doing.
