DESIGN for PRINT AWARDS 2022
As the Brighton Fringe 2022 drew to a close the Gemini Print Group team were invited to join the Brighton Fringe awards ceremony, hosted by Brighton Spiegeltent to celebrate the special achievements of performers, producers and venues.
Brighton Fringe CEO, Julian Caddy, opened the ceremony with a tribute to Fringe-favourite Lynn Ruth Miller who recently passed away, before awarding more than twenty awards to stand-out events and venues of the 2022 season.
Brighton Fringe print partner Gemini Print Group awarded two Highly Commended certificates in their Design for Print award to Cynically Dead: Sharon Em & James Johnson and Just Sayin’ by Tina Zucco.
Jekyll & Hyde: A One Woman Show took home the judges’ award for Design for Print whilst Lachlan Werner: Voices of Evil claimed victory in the public vote.
With a record level of entries, the range and quality of design or print was outstanding. Some designers and performers gained significant level of support from the thousands of public votes which highlighted the strength of impact of great design.
Sam Harrington Lowe (and Alice!) the managing editor of Title Media Sussex titlemedia.co.uk and founder of Silver Magazine, was head judge. She commented “It is a fabulous problem to have when you struggle to reduce the shortlist down to the finalists. There was some very clever and innovative graphic design”.
