Gemini Print Group Awarded Printing Contract from Henry Schein Dental UK

Gemini Print Group announced today that it has achieved preferred vendor status with Henry Schein Dental UK, one of the largest providers of health care products and services to office-based dental practitioners in the UK. Upon completion of a competitive review and RFP process, Gemini was awarded a two-year agreement to provide printing fulfilment, and mailing services.

For the past six months, Gemini and Henry Schein have worked diligently to ensure a smooth transition of operations and services, which has included several site visits to Gemini’s head office by Henry Schein’s Creative and Marketing teams.

Proud Partner to Brighton Fringe 2017

Gemini are proud to be the official print partner to Brighton Fringe 2017 for the fourth year running. Brighton Fringe is England’s largest arts festival and one of the biggest fringe festivals in the world, taking place from 5th May – 4th June 2017.

West Sussex Print moves into Gemini

As of Monday 3rd April 2017, West Sussex Print moved their office facilities and Heidelberg SM52 5 colour lithographic press into Gemini’s head office. Director Julie Beard and her team will now be functioning as normal alongside Gemini Print. Exciting times!

Gemini 2017 Calendar Fund Raiser – Starr Trust Charity

All Gemini 2017 calendars show case artwork from ‘Artists Open Houses’ – a festival that runs twice a year and is open to anyone in the 01273-telephone postcode area. The festival provides a unique experience for visitors, where you can view an array of work from contemporary and original local artists and makers in their homes, as well as meeting the artists and buying artwork and crafts directly from them.

Gemini are the official print sponsor of the festival for the third year running and recently ran a competition where all artists were invited to submit seasonal images for inclusion in the calendar, with all proceeds going to the Starr Trust charity.

Fundraising manager from Starr Trust – Rosie Molloy commented ‘The Starr Trust supports children aged between 10 and 18 living in the BN post code to help them to fulfil their potential in sport, art and education.  We offer grants of up to £5000 per year to help them to achieve their goals at a time when they really need it. Every single penny raised helps us to help the young people who live in our area. Gemini wins major, three year print, direct mail and fulfillment contract from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales…

Against stiff competition, Gemini has secured a three year contract to become   the supplier of print, direct mail and fulfilment services to The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Gemini already provides ICAEW with digital and print services and this new contract, awarded following a rigorous tender process, recognises the ongoing investment Gemini has made in the latest production, personalisation and fulfilment equipment.

ICAEW quote on why Gemini has been selected. John Pearce, ICAEW’s Director, Digital and Publishing said, ‘We are delighted to be working with Gemini to deliver the highest standards of service to our members and stakeholders. Their passion to deliver was clearly evident in their tender pitch.’

Cake is the answer no matter the question…

The Gemini Print Group held a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 30th September, staff members contributed homemade cakes/sweet bites and sausage rolls to help raise money and awareness for the fantastic charity Macmillan Cancer Support.

Macmillan are there to support anyone battling with cancer from the minute they are diagnosed straight through to treatment and beyond. Often just a pair of ears might be what you find most comforting through such times needing full support. Just £25 could pay for one Macmillan nurse for an hour, helping people with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.

Gemini Wins Four Year Contract With Newcastle University

Gemini Print Group are proud to announce a large four-year print framework contract with Newcastle University.

After several months of tendering Newcastle University came to their final decision and chose Gemini to be one of their trusted and approved suppliers for the Provision of External Printing Services.

Shirley Tindle, from Newcastle University’s Marketing and Publications team explains “Newcastle University is very pleased to welcome Gemini Print to our External Print Framework. There is a vigorous selection process, undertaken via the official OJEU tendering process, and Gemini Print came through by meeting all the set criteria. The University is looking forward to building a great working relationship with this new print supplier over the four years of the contract”.

The Gemini Print Group invests in the latest Kodak Sonora Process Free-Plates for our Litho printing presses across the entire group and also a whole host of workflow production tools for our Kodak Prinergy Systems.

Kodak Sonora Process-Free plates eliminate all plate chemistry and help to keep all toxic wastage at Gemini to a minimum. Gemini have also been awarded with Kodak’s Green Leaf Award Certificate for continuing to support the local environment.

The software update includes Kodak Prinergy Workflow ‘where control meets freedom’ this high tech software ensures colour consistency and accuracy is monitored throughout the production of each job. The Kodak Insite Prepress Portal updates means faster turnaround times for you. Available 24/7 this portal allows you access anytime from any place and connects you interactively to your proofing files. In time FTP logins will gradually fade out for digital printing and the new system linked with Insite will be integrated into the workflow. Digital proofing will now be of a higher standard with accurate colours for online proofing (varied dependant on viewing device). If any problems arise with Insite please do not worry as the system is checking automatically for problems which will be flagged up so corrections can be made quickly.
